Metta Wold Peace pays tribute to "Baltimore" on his new track.

Metta World Peace gave it up for his parents on his recent track, "Thanks Mom, Thanks Dad", and today he does the same for the city of Baltimore.

Despite being from New York, Metta is looking to raise the awareness of the poverty in Baltimore, which he explained briefly in regards to the track.

"People often ask why am I obsessed with Baltimore. They often ask me why I compare Balitmore to Queeensbridge back in '88 to '95. Why do I rep Baltimore and I am from New York? Well, If you look at the state of urban Baltimore, some would describe it as a borderline war zone. Some would say it is too violent and there is no way out. I would say there are future doctors and lawyers there. But we have to give an extra effort to bring the best out of the community."

Make sure to check out yet another recent song from Metta, "Detox".
