Today, DJs Ray G and 2AND2 released their joint tape '86-'87, which is hosted by Atlanta's own Que. Several of his tracks are featured on the tape, including the previously-unreleased "I See Why" and "Uno Dos Tres." Here's the former, which also features a verse from Trae Tha Truth.
Functioning as yet another banger from the "OG Bobby Johnson" rapper, "I See Why" finds Que first learning the rules of the streets for himself, and then understanding why he'd gotten similar advice earlier in his life. Trae spits the track's final verse in his subterranean baritone, stringing together a series of triplets for a particularly thrilling conclusion.
Quotable Lyrics:
You stuck in the copy, damn I try to bridge it
I been on my game, the fuck you try to pitch it
You can't trust no bitch who tryin' to get your digits
I see why my temper shorter than a midget
- Trae
