Swiff D's butter soft production on Schoolboy Q and BJ The Chicago Kid's "Studio" has been a recent favorite for rappers looking to freestyle. Recently, we've heard CyHi Tha Prynce, Plies and Fat Trel spit over the track, and now Consequence has offered up his own version.
Whereas Schoolboy's version of the track cast the studio as an obstacle standing between him and his girl, Consequence seems uninterested in anything but the studio. An ode of sorts to Abelton, Pro Tools and all other equipment he uses, Cons' version tells of "unreleased masters that might just get you hard time" and the inspiration he's taken from other producers.
Quotable Lyrics:
So there's a goldmine livin' on my harddrive
Unreleased masters that might just get you hard time
I got vocals from Pharrell, two tracks from 'Ye
Demos from Dilla, before he passed away
