Although Rome Fortune makes a great case for being the most unique rapper in Atlanta these days, it was still a shock when he released a track featuring original production from Four Tet back in May. The DJ, whose real name is Kieran Hebdan, made a name for himself with his knotty, sometimes avant-garde electronica and had very little experience with hip-hop prior to Fortune's "One Time For."
Initial shock aside, the pair made a great track, and have now returned with another. "Lights Low" is (fittingly) a little darker, and it features a lengthy instrumental outro, but it's still nothing but magic from Rome and Four Tet on their second go-round.
Quotable Lyrics:
I adore you and all
Your skin is a cinnamon taste and you glaze me
As you gaze into my pupil and amaze me
Yes, the rhythm I think is paintin' a picture
Yes, get ignorant fuckin' me crazy, that's it now
