This morning, we posted a previously-unreleased Future song called "Rockstar" that was kept off Honest due to sample clearance issues. The original features Nicki Minaj, and now we've got a new version that subs her out in favor of French Montana.
As "Rockstar" has been in the works for quite a while, this version is probably also a few months old, with French deciding to drop it on the same day Future finally unveiled the track. Though Nicki's verses are missed, French adds some dope vocals, interweaving his auto-tuned voice with Future's to create a two-headed monster of pained, robotic voices.
Which version of "Rockstar" do y'all like better?
Quotable Lyrics:
Started slingin' dope, momma looked at me crazy
Until I paid the rent, then she called me her baby
I tried to cop a Bent, that shit cost about 80
And then I flipped a brick, broke that shit down to eights
