When he hasn't been collaborating with big names in the EDM world, Waka Flocka Flame has spent 2014 stepping up his bars by freestyling over some of the years hottest tracks. The latest of these is "Blatlanta," his gun sound-heavy take on Nicki Minaj and Lil Herb's "Chi-Raq."
Though the many ad libs that defined Flocka's early material are still there ("Blaw," "You know!", "Flocka!", and of course, "SQUAD!"), "Blatlanta" is the latest in a string of freestyles which suggest that Waka's not the style-over-substance rapper he was initially made out to be.
Most (or all) of these freestyles will be compiled into a mixtape called I Can't Rap Vol. 1 later this year.
Quotable Lyrics:
These rappers as fake as a three dollar bill
And I really don't care how they feel
Don't make you a gangster 'cause you touched a mil
Put you on the plate, I'll make you a meal
