Gucci Mane was really building something special with Brick Squad. While the crew has since parted ways to a certain extent, it's clear that everyone involved has the ability to do great things. Young Scooter, who just dropped his new mixtape, 80s Baby, yesterday, is one of them.
On "Ghetto Gold" he goes back a generation in the Brick Squad family tree (he does the same with OJ Da Juiceman a few tracks later), teaming up with Gucci's semi-estranged partner, Waka Flocka.
The chemistry is there, and the wistful banger brings about thoughts of the still unreleased Brick Squad album, Big Money Talk, which was said to include Waka, whether he liked it or not.
Quotable Lyrics:
Just dead presidents
My pockets stuck in graves
Throwin' hail marys
Flocka out hear catchin' plays
One foot in, one foot out
Fox was home for a week and got took out
