Joey Fatts may be the least visible member of his Cutthoat Boyz crew, though he's an integral part of the groups menacing west coast sound. Outside of rapping, Fatts is also the in-house producer for the group rounded out by Aston Matthews and Vince Staples, supplying the instrumentals for a good chunk of Matthews' latest mixtape, Aston 3:16.
Joey also scored a production credit on ASAP Rocky's debut album, Long.Live.A$AP, and release the criminally overlooked project, Chipper Jones Vol. 2 (which scored features from Rocky, Danny Brown, Freddie Gibbs, and more).
He's now preparing the follow-up to that tape, and has linked up once again with the crew's most prominent member Vince Staples for the first offering, "Million $ Dreams". This may just be his year.
Quotable Lyrics:
Ridin' with my niggas 'til the tires flat
Right where you ain't welcome at
Born for this shit I think
'Cause ain't nobody takin' action
Gotta make it big or I'll be here
If I don't make it happen
Plus my mama's sick
And medication costs a Cadillac
