If you've ever wanted to purchase an album from Bandcamp, today is the day. The online music marketplace has announced that it will donate all proceeds from Friday, February 3rd to the American Civil Liberties Union. Over 400 labels have also joined with Bandcamp to donate their proceeds from purchases made today.
The donations are being made in an effort to oppose Donald Trump's executive order to bar immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries. "This is not who we are, and it is not what we believe in. We at Bandcamp oppose the ban wholeheartedly, and extend our support to those whose lives have been upended," Bandcamp founder and CEO Ethan Diamond writes.
Below, find 14 recommendations to spend your money on today in order to support the ACLU. Make note of the labels who will be making their own donations here. Please share any further recommendations in the comments section.
