If you saw Bubba Sparxxx's name on this track and automatically recalled "Ms. New Booty," you have a severely inaccurate interpretation of one of the south's most interesting lyricists. Believe it or not, before collaborating with the Ying Yang Twins, Bubba released two lyrically-adept hit albums featuring the likes of Timbaland, Missy Elliot, Justin Timberlake and Organized Noize--not to mention he had a killer verse on the remix to Big Boi's hit-single "Kryptonite" back in 2006, competing with Lil Wayne and Killer Mike for the song's best verse. Among his southern peers, his sophomore album Deliverance is considered an slept-on classic.
Since his mainstream breakthrough, however, Bubba has returned to his roots, delivering uplifting hip-hop with a country music twist. In other words, he's left New Booty's behind.
