Roc Marciano hit us with two solid full-lengths at the tail end of last year. First we got the Pimpire Strikes Back mixtape, with the rapper's third studio album, Marci Beaucoup dropping a month later.
We'll have to wait and see if the New York emcee has something similar up his sleeve this year, but today he's given us a new verse over Apollo Brown’s “Shotguns In Hell” instrumental.
The dusty sample-laden track is a good fit for Roc's composed but colorful free association.
If you're looking for a good introduction to Marci, check out his collaboration with Action Bronson, "456" from last year.
Quotable Lyrics:
Venture with caution
Or experience loss
Of some biblical proportions
For fortune
Escaped the box that I was forced in
Cut the forsekin
Dig a hole and drop the corpse in
