Former Dreamchasers artist Louie V Gutta took aim at Meek Mill on his last track, a freestyle over Drake's "0 To 100", but this week, he's decided to pay tribute to an artist from the label.
Lil Snupe, also known as Meek's protege, was killed last year over a bet at the age of seventeen. On "It Kills Me", Louie vents about first learning of the rapper's untimely death, praying that it was a misunderstanding and he hadn't actually passed.
The song is a melodic and heartfelt tribute to Snupe. We've heard a few other rappers do the same, most notably on Meek's "Lil Nigga Snupe".
Quotable Lyrics:
When you died
A part of me died too
It meant more to me than just reppin' the same crew
Said when I got the news
I was thinkin' it ain't true
Pictures of the murder scene
Hopin' it ain't you
