50 Cent has been in the news a lot lately, thanks to a new album, a G-Unit reunion, and the Slowbucks controversy which quickly followed. As we learned yesterday, Animal Ambition managed to move just under 50k. Today we're taking it back to when 50 was really on his come-up, with the throwback track of the day from his unreleased album Power of the Dollar.
"How To Rob," produced by Trackmasters, finds 50 detailing how he'd rob some of the industry heavyweights at the time, which in turn elicited responses from several of his targets. To this day, we can always count on Fif to start beef and stir up controversy.
Power of the Dollar was initially set to drop on July 4th 2000, however it was never officially released due to the label (Columbia) dropping 50.
Quotable Lyrics
I'd rob ODB, but that'd be a waste of time
Probably have to clap him, run and toss the 9
I'd follow Fox in the drop for 4 blocks
Plotting to jux her for that rock Kurupt copped
What, Jigga just sold like 4 milli, got something to live for
Don't want a nigga putting 4 through that Bentley Coupe door
