It hasn't been too long since ScHoolboy Q dropped his last project, Habits & Contradictions, but he's already been thinking about his next one, and what it will sound like.
In an interview with Ashley Outrageous (via XXL), Q compares his two past projects, Setbacks and Habits & Contradictions, to what his next project will be like.
"It gotta be different," ScHoolboy said of his upcoming project, "It’s like Habits & Contradictions was different from Setbacks. Setbacks had a lot more content in it, a lot more meaningful topics. Habits & Contradictions was more of a funner project. Not so serious."
The next one, Q says, will be a combination of the two: "The next project is just gonna be the both of them put together. It has to be them two combined but with a new sound. You got to make somebody cry every album, at least one song. That’s what we go by at TDE. If you ain’t making nobody cry at least one song, go back and revitalize the shit."
As for features on this next project, ScHoolboy Q is sticking to the familiar: TDE. "For the most part, I just want the homies on there, but I may throw a single out there with somebody name on it," he said. "You know what I mean? Just to push it to the next level. But for the most part, I’m all about me and my homies."
