Common teased us about this collaboration with rising rapper from Long Beach, California, Vince Staples, the other day with the release of a video trailer. Today Com returns with the full record, which is the third release thus far off the G.O.O.D. rapper's upcoming album Nobody's Smiling. So far we've received the Ab-Soul-featured "Made In Black America" as well as "War."
No I.D. on the boards again, as he will produce all of Nobody's Smiling. The triumphant beat for "Kingdom" is filled with layered vocals, while Common once again relays a socially conscious message.
Stay tuned for the Hype Williams-directed music video, coming soon.
Quotable Lyrics
My money ain't straight, my fam ain't straight
Ain't wanna push keys, heaven couldn't wait
I was hurtin', couldn't get no work
You created me from dust, that's why I did dirt
You said that the last shall be first
Now I'm in a hearse, what's this cash really worth?
