For those just tuning in, Milo is an emerging poet, emcee, producer and card-carrying member of the Hellfyre Club who currently operates out of Chicago, Illinois. He occasionally releases music under the alias "Scallops Hotel," which just so happens to be the case this afternoon.
Milo borrowed the instrumental for "Secure As 2 BobbyPins (Dookie)" from English electronic musician Forest Swords, recording several brief freestyles overtop it. The final mix was handled by Riley Lake, and Jacob Hepworth-Wain is responsible for the artwork.
Instead of impulsively judging the record right off the bat, try taking a closer listen for a change. Besides, the only person truly capable of critiquing this is dead.
[The last song we heard from Milo / Scallops Hotel was "Budlong Woods," a choice selection from his November 2013 EP Poplar Grove: Or How To Rap With A Hammer, which you can listen to here.]
Quotable Lyrics
We made a holy place
It was sacrosanct and it was sacred
Like the coffee station in Chase Bank
We bought funiture and thought of its embroidering
Why are you torturing me?
