The Roots are currently preparing their 11th studio album, And Then You Shoot Your Cousin, and have now shared a new song from the upcoming effort.
"Tomorrow" finds the group teaming with singer "Raheem Devaughn" who actually provides vocals for the entire track, as Black Thought sits one out.
The Soulful track really hits its stride when the band jams out the chord progression as the song's outro, throwing some jazz piano chords into the mix.
We recently heard another song from the impending project, "When People Cheer", which you can listen to here.
The album will be available May 19th.
Quotable Lyrics:
I'm thankful to be alive
'Cause you sleep from 11 to 7
And work hard from 9 to 5
'Cause can't nobody last forever
And everybody has to die
And everybody needs protection
I pray it don't pass me by
