Last we heard from Chance The MC, he had played a little something live for Tony Touch, which he said he felt was something very important for people to hear. The song was cut off short, and remains without a title (that we know of), although as many astute fans pointed out, it sounded like there could be a J. Cole verse right when the track cuts off. While most of us are waiting to receive the track in full, some new Chance has surfaced on the web today via HHNM. It turns out this is a bonus record that appears on the Chicago collective THEMPeople's Smoke Breaks project. Fans should enjoy it.
Chance uses his sing-song rap ways to declare himself a writer on the track.
Quotable Lyrics
But this is for the day that your dad dies
But for some reason all you hearing is sad sighs
You searching for nostalgia but sadly you can't cry
So you check your iPod and search for some bad vibes
From that rap guy who raps for sad vibes
I wrote it in an hour dog, don't know what your dad's like
He probably was a great dad, he's probably in paradise
You want me penning heartbreak, but sadly I can't write
Nothing, this is for those that wrote suicide notes
And all the hipster girls that was super fly dope
