Atlanta's Scotty has just shared "Trash & Treasure," his first new track of 2014. The Peso Piddy-produced jam is chill and smooth, fueled by a laid-back guitar sample and some pitched-down vocals.
"Trash & Treasure" has an old-school vibe that recalls classic Southern groups like OutKast and UGK, with Scotty staying true to his down-south heritage.
Word is that this will appear on his upcoming mixtape Spaghetti Junction, the title of which is also the name of an OutKast track from Stankonia. Scotty and his Cool Club clique just wrapped up the "Road 2 Spaghetti Junction" tour in support of the tape at SXSW.
Quotable Lyrics
Grippin' on pine
Blowin' my smoke in the sky
Contemplate as I recline
Lookin' for signs
Know that there's heaven for G's
Life ain't come with no rewind
Really can't complain though
