The Underachievers burst onto the scene last year with their Indigoism mixtape, delivering ferocious double time flows, but complimenting them with psychedelic production and astral-plane talk.
On their new track -- the first offering from their upcoming album, Cellar Door: Terminus Ut Exordium -- the duo recruit the very-trendy production work of Ryan Hemsworth, who makes a point of hardening his generally cloudy production for the occasion.
Fans will be happy to know that they're still talking about 'prophecies', but the new offering also finds the duo taking on a more straight-up aggressive approach, which suits them well.
The Underachievers are part of the Beast Coast movement, alongside fellow young New York rap aficionados, Flatbush Zombies and Pro Era.
Look out for their debut album later this year.
