We found out two days ago that the Three 6 Mafia crew are working together again, under their original name (rather than Da Mafia 6ix), to create a new album. Gangsta Boo confirmed that Juicy J would be apart of this project, "We're also working on a Three 6 Mafia album while on the road. Everyone's going to be involved. Juicy J is on tour now too, so we just got to [find time] to get in the studio."
This undoubtedly got fans of the original line-up excited, although it's very unfortunate that Lord Infamous passed away earlier this year.
As we anxiously await new music from the Memphis natives, we've chosen "On Some Chrome" featuring UGK as our Throwback Thursday record today. The cut appeared on Three 6's 2008 mixtape effort Last 2 Walk, and interestingly enough samples this.
