Internet critics have accused Drake of jacking XXXTENTACION's "Look At Me" flow on a new song he debuted in late January in Amsterdam. Drake has denied that he stole X's flow. In a new interview, X's manager, No Jumper podcast host Adam22, alleged that Drake contacted DJ Carnage to let him know that he was a fan of "Look at Me" about a week prior to debuting the controversial track.
Drake recently spoke on the controversy during an interview with DJ Semtex on OVO Sound Radio. "I [listened to 'Look at Me'] and I’m like, okay, I see where people could draw this comparison off of the first two lines, whether it be cadence or the rhyme pattern or whatever,” he said. “It’s crazy that people think that after all this time, after all I’ve been through, that I’m the type of person... to go and take that and make it my own. I’m not stupid, I’m not a shit person like that.”
When asked if he believes Drake knowingly stole X's flow, Adam replied, "I'm open to both scenarios."
"Look At Me" has climbed to #70 since entering the Billboard Hot 100 three weeks ago.
