It’s already been a busy 2014 for Long Beach native Vince Staples. Along with touring alongside Odd Future’s Earl Sweatshirt, Staples will be joining ScHoolboy Q’s Oxymoron tour starting March 1st. In between time, Vince is getting to release a new LP titled Shyne Coldchain Vol.II, and today, he decided to drop off the lead single for it. For the first offering, Vince recruits Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter James Fauntleroy for the hook on “Nate”. A feel good track, with production handled by Scoop DeVille. I recommend giving this a close listen. This smooth.

Quotable Lyrics:
As a kid all I wanted was a hundred grand
Uncle countin' money while my daddy cuttin' grams
Made me promise that this shit would never touch my hands
And it never did, said it make me be a better man
