Following up on his 2016 EP Still Up All Night, Brooklyn singer/producer Eli Sostre is back with a pair of singles released via Soundcloud. The first one, "Hold You Close," features a whole gang of big-name producers, including Vinylz, Frank Dukes, Allen Ritter & Soriano. "Hold You Close" finds the crooner channeling some old-school Kid Cudi vibes over a spacey, wandering beat, lamenting over some romantic worst-case-scenarios.
"Glass" features a production credit from Toronto heatmaker Boi-1da, and Sostre half-sings half-raps over quick drums, melancholic piano chords, and high-frequency synth notes. This track goes harder than the former, and both songs form like Voltron to showcase Sostre's versatile set of talents.
Quotable Lyrics
See I was in Brooklyn, but I got my name up
Them niggas they copy, but we ain't the same bruh
Now we in the projects, tuckin the chains up
Fuckin' the game up, fuckin' the game up
