DJ Cassidy's "Calling All Hearts" is an exercise in the wedding floor disco that dominated 2013 (see "Blurred Lines" and "Get Lucky"), so Talib KWeli seems an odd choice at first glance.
Nevertheless, Bottom Feeder has given him a verse on the dance number, and he makes the most of it, taking on a stripped down version of the beat about midway through.
Last we heard from Talib, he had united with a backpack rap triforce, recruiting elZhi & Phonte on "No Competition".
The rapper's Gravitas project is available now. Look out for more material from the rapper soon.
What do you think of the remix?
Quotable lyrics:
Callin all hearts, callin' all hearts pumpin'
Everybody in the dancehall love it
Hotter than a saucepan in the oven
When you need to get it crackin'
I'm the man for the function
