Mariah Carey decided to drop her new song, "You're Mine (Eternal)", as well as the track's remix with Trey Songz at the same damn time today. The ballad is produced by Darkchild, and recalls her Emancipation Of Mimi hitm "We Belong Together".
Trey contributes some nice harmonies, and additional vocals, before providing a half-rapper, half-sung bridge in the song's final third. As the artwork suggests, it's no accident that this one is out just in time for Valentine's day.
Look out for some of those dog-whistle high notes at the end of the track. Her as-of-yet untitled album will be available May 6th.
Quotable lyrics:
Summer days and Summer nights
When I felt you in my arms
Didn’t I want you badly?
Wanted to let you have me?
