Starlito is one of the hardest working rappers in the game. Last year, he released 3 mixtapes, 2 albums, and a collaborative project with Don Trip, all of which were great, and all of which were slept on.
Lito is getting ready to drop his first project of the new year, which will be titled, Black Sheep Don't Grin, and will feature this new Don Lee-produced number, "Mark Us Smart".
The title is a play on Marcus Smart, a player on Oklahoma State's basketball team who was just suspended for shoving a fan at the end of his last game. Smart reports that the man he shoved hurled a racial slur at him, and Lito is taking the player's side on this one, aligning the controversy with his own frustrations in rap.
Quotable lyrics:
Cast a shadow on your accolades
Just to attack you
For the same things they praise you for
Rap is just my basketball
I may have lost my cool
A time or two and cost me money
But I've never lost my pride, no not for nothin'
