Alex Wiley and Mick Jenkins are two of the most promising young emcees currently operating in the Chicago metropolitan area. "Forever" is their first joint offering, and although brief, it's much doper than your average rap cut. Produced by White Plains, New York producer Sunny Dukes, it was recorded at the Chi's Closed Sessions studio just yesterday.
Although very different artists, Wiley's melodic flow complements Jenkins' gruffer delivery nicely, and they both drop knowledge relentlessly. Alex has described his contribution as one of his favorite new verses.
Stay tuned for further collaborations from this new duo, folks - dope material is guaranteed. And follow them on Twitter: @Alex_Wiley / @MickalusCage.
Quotable Lyrics
"I'm rollin' up grains 'til the pendulum swings to the center of frame / Hope you get it in focus / I got a little lady lurkin', she just be rollin' me dope / You never dropped 80 on 'em, never went Kobe before." -Wiley
"My people blind and they thirsty, they hungry, they hurtin', they searchin' for water, I brought an ocean / But if you think that it look hopeless, your shit is out of focus." -Jenkins
