If you're a Chance The Rapper stance, you're already aware of the existence of "They Say," a record the Chicago emcee first performed with The Social Experiment at Austin City Limits in October 2015. Becoming quite legendary among his fanbase, the song came up in a Q&A Chance did in a Twitter in advance of his Magnificent Coloring Day festival happening today.
"I'm so glad you asked," he said, answering a question about whether the song would ever be properly released. "'They Say,' will be released for sure. I'm glad you know what that song is.
He confirmed that Montreal producer Kaytranada, who just released his 0.001% mixtape and took home Canada's esteemed Polaris Music Prize, was behind the boards on the track. "Kaytranada produced it a minute ago for the third mixtape in its early stages," he said. "He's gonna release it soon."
Chance had a few more interesting questions from fans, including one which asked how his daughter was, and one who asked who his favorite rapper of all time would be. Chance answered the latter with the first verse of Lil Wayne's "La La." View the videos below.
