Laso placed among our top 4 Heatseekers finalists a couple weeks back, and he's already back with some new music. The Los Angeles rapper began writing rhymes (mainly in the form of poetry) after his mother passed when he was 17.
He's now applied that skillset to rap, demonstrating a great understanding of rhyme schemes and assonance, which compliment his hard-hitting production flawlessly.
"Woah" is a particularly banging track from the emcee, with a monstrous beat from ADOTTHEGOD giving way to Laso's effortless flows.
Make sure to check out his debut mixtape, Praise The Lord, released back in November 2013, and look out for more from the rising rapper soon.
Quotable lyrics:
"Nothing on my wrists/ Nothing on my neck/ Nothing on my hip, boy/ I spit bars so you know I need Altoids/ My flow so stanky/They be like 'still gonna talk to us when you get famous? can I get a pinky... promise"
