The fabled J. Cole/Kendrick Lamar album is real, according to Ab-Soul.
Ab-Soul, who is on a press run to promote his new album DWTW, spoke on the collab album during an interview with The Breakfast Club. When asked by Charlamagne if he has a verse on the Kendrick/Cole album, Ab-Soul responded, "I can't speak on that. I wish I could."
"These guys, they move like the mob," he explained. "You never know with these guys... I don't know too much about it. I just hope the use my verse."
Charlamagne pressed him: "But there is a Kendrick-Cole album?"
"They got it," Ab-Soul said. "They got something in the works. They've been working on that motherfucker for a while."
Last November, Cole and Kendrick teamed up for a coordinated release of freestyles over one of the other artist's tracks.
