Cam'ron does not tolerate his image or his music being used without his permission. Monday night, he called out two companies he feels have done him wrong -- VH1 and UFC.
Recording a video address for Instagram, Cam suggested that he was used in an ad for Love & Hip Hop: New York without his permission. "I am not a cast member on Love & Hip-Hop," he begins. "I did a scene for Juelz, 'cause he's on the show. I did a scene for JuJu, 'cause she's on the show. I should not be in anybody's commercials, especially when the paperwork isn't done."
After that, he brought up yet another ad in which he says he was not approached about. "Second order of business is Dana White from the UFC," he said. You've been using my song all week to promote the Connor McGregor fight at MSG. The song "welcome To New York City" featuring Jay Z off my album Come Home With Me. Once again, nobody reached out to me."
"It's nobody's fault because this is the first time both of these companies have done business with me," he says, before threatening legal action. "Someone should've told them how I get down, we'll be reaching out tomorrow, me and my lawyer."
The commercial for IFC 205 in which Cam is referring to has since been made "private" on YouTube, as Complex points out.
