After the New York Giants' regular season finale against the Redskins, a handful of players including Odell Beckham Jr., Victor Cruz, Roger Lewis Jr. and rookie wide receiver Sterling Shepard fled to Miami to party with Justin Bieber, Trey Songz and others.
The following day, the players continued their celebration with Trey Songz- you've probably seen the photos by now of the G-Men in their Timbs on the boat.
Today, the New York Daily News is reporting that "drugs were being out like candy" during the party, although in a video that was uploaded to instagram you can hear Sterling Shepard turning down an offer for some adderall; which is of course a banned substance in the NFL.
Via NYDN:
"The gossip site TerezOwens.com reported Wednesday that the voice in question was Shepard's and that, per sources, the woman was "handing (drugs) out like candy" and "a lot of marijuana (was) being smoked." A photo also appears to show Songz holding a joint of marijuana."
Everyone in the Giants organization, including head coach Bob McAdoo, has downplayed the trip to Miami and insists the team's sole focus is their matchup against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday.
"The players were off," he said. "They showed up Tuesday ready to work and had a good practice today."
Should the players be more cautious of who they surround themselves with leading up to a playoff game or is this story a completely overblown non issue?
