Regardless of its critical reception, Drake's VIEWS has managed to break record after record on the sales front. The album's lead single "One Dance" has made Spotify history, surpassing Major Lazer, DJ Snake and MØ's "Lean On" as the streaming service's most streamed song ever.
Spotify announced that Drake's track has earned 880 million streams, putting it well above the reported 526 million plays of "Lean On" when it first broke the record in November (no word on how many streams the song has now).
Last month, it was announced that Drake's "One Dance" was the most streamed song of the Summer, and back in May, Drake became the most streamed artist on Spotify ever, surpassing fellow Ontarian Justin Bieber.
All in all, Drizzy is having a pretty phenomenal year, though he was recently forced to postpone some tour dates due to an ankle injury, and reportedly broke things off with on-and-off girlfriend Rihanna. Somehow, we think he'll be alright.
