"For a trusted publication like WSJ to profit from genocide — it’s shameful and unacceptable.”

The Wall Street Journal posted an article back in April that linked to a site called "Fact Check Armenia," which called the killing of over 1.5 million Armenians by the Ottoman Government in 1915 "propaganda" rather than genocide. Kim Kardashian West, who is of Armenian descent, took great offense to the article- and the fact that the Wall Street Journal even published it.

Outraged, Kim put pen to paper and took out a full-page ad in the New York Times, blasting the Wall Street Journal for their report and shedding some light on the facts of the matter.

“It’s one thing when a crappy tabloid profits from a made-up scandal, but for a trusted publication like WSJ to profit from genocide — it’s shameful and unacceptable.”

"Advocating the denial of a genocide by the country responsible for it - that’s not publishing a ‘provocative viewpoint,’ that’s spreading lies."

“When we allow ourselves to be silenced by money, by fear and by power, we teach our children that truth is irrelevant.”

“We have to be responsible for the message we pass on to our children. We have to honor the TRUTH in our history so that we protect their future. We have to do better than this.”

This isn't the first time that Kim has spoken out about the Armenian genocide though. Just last year she wrote an open letter to President Obama in TIME, asking him to label the massacre of 1.5 million Armenians as a genocide.
