A Tribe Called Quest was the musical guest on the most recent episode of Saturday Night Live, and as expected, they brought the house down. The surviving members of the group assembled to perform a track from their brand new project We Got it From Here… Thank You 4 Your Service called "We The People." Q-Tip performed his opening verse, with hype man assistance from Jarobi White, while Ali Shaheed Muhammad held down the 1s and 2s. However, the highlight came when the vocals of Phife Dawg, who passed away earlier this year, entered, along with a colorful banner bearing his image. Tip and Jarobi made sure to hold the mic to Phife's lips, as well as supply some call-and-response vocals to his 16.

For their second performance, Tribe performed "The Space Program," the opening track from their new album. On the final coda of the track, Busta Rhymes and Consequence, who contribute throughout the new LP, joined Tip and the gang on stage, closing things off with a group hug.
