Big K.R.I.T. talks about one of the more serious songs on his new album, "Praying Man," and getting B.B. King featured on it.

Big K.R.I.T. released his debut album on Def Jam this past week, called Live From The Underground

The album is southern-sounding music at its best, and one collaboration which stands out on the album is with B.B. King, a blues legend.

While on MTV's RapFix Krizzle spoke on the song  "Praying Man," which B.B. King is featured on. The soulful song relays the story of three different slaves facing death.

"I think doing a record with B.B. King allowed me the opportunity to blend two different generations across the board and make a song that I hope is extremely impactful," Big K.R.I.T. said.

In explaining the song concept K.R.I.T. said, "All three of these people are dead, but they're rappin' to you as if they didn't know and the praying man that they're talking about is death coming to take them from their situation," he continued, "When I was working on the record I was like, 'Yo, this would be crazy if I got B.B. King on the song.' "

Krizzle's wishes came true eventually, "I was actually able to make it happen. He heard the record, he loved it and he also played the guitar on it. He gave it his own feel as well," K.R.I.T. said, and then confirmed a video would be released for the song. "I'm excited for people to hear it and when we do shoot a visual, because I know we got to, it gotta be cinematic."
