On Tuesday night, after the world discovered that Donald Trump would be the next president of the United States, U.S. stocks plummeted. The next day, however, things turned around. According to Time Magazine, "U.S. stocks rose sharply" on Wednesday, signalling that perhaps the economy will be able to sustain the reign of Trump. Most of the industries that rose in stock were ones mentioned by Donald Trump during his campaign, such as the banks (he wants to deregulate them) and the pharmaceutical industry (he's vowed to repeal Obamacare).
In other Trump news, the president-elect has launched his official transition website (greatagain.gov), which features a very obviously photoshopped photo of the Donald. It has the vibe of an official North Korean state portrait, with a little bit of Instagram thot filter for good measure. We've put a screenshot from the website and the original photo (pre-Photoshop) for y'all to investigate in the above gallery. Grief is good, good is grief.
