Forbes has announced its list of the five wealthiest hip-hop moguls. Included in the Forbes Five are three artists who are pretty familiar with Forbes' lists, as they were some of the first hip-hop artists included in Forbes' first-ever Hip-Hop Cash Kings list, back in 2007.
These three artists are Diddy, Jay-Z and 50 Cent, who have a combined net worth well over a billion dollars. The other two rap stars included on the Forbes Five are: Dr. Dre, who makes quite a profit off his headphones line, Beats by Dre, and Young Money/Cash Money founder, Birdman.
Diddy, however, outranks the other four in terms of wealth, with a net worth of $550 million. A lot of his money comes from Ciroc vodka, from which he receives double-digit millions annually. On top of this, Ciroc sales spiked 122% last year because of the high demand for Ciroc Peach, a new flavor.
Jay-Z comes in second with a net worth of $460 million, and he also happens to be one of the few in this list that still tours and puts out new music.
