A shooting that took place outside a Florida nightclub over the weekend has left two underage persons dead, and more than a dozen wounded, as CNN reports. The nightclub in question, Club Blu Bar and Grill, reportedly advertised a "Swimsuit Glow Party" for Sunday night, with no identification required to enter-- meaning it was an all-ages event.
Despite Club Blu's best efforts to create "a safe space to have a good time" (according to a statement the bar released), things did not end well. 14-year-old Shawn Achilles and 18-year-old Ste'fan Strawder were killed in the shooting, and while all the names and ages of the victims have not been released, Lee Memorial Hospital reportedly "received 16 people, ages 12 to 27, with injuries ranging from minor to life-threatening."
The motive for the shooting remains unclear, but authorities have detained three adults in connection to it.
