Starlito and Don Trip returned with their first Step Brothers release in 4 years this week. Karate In The Garage is the prelude to the upcoming proper third installment in their collaborative Step Brother series. The opening track from the short tape is called "For The Culture," and finds the rappers taking on Migos' single "Call Casting." Recruiting fellow Tennessee emcee Yo Gotti for the track, they're able to replicate the trio dynamic in their own way, and end up making the beat all their own. At one point, Starlito hints that the next Step Brothers release will be a proper LP: "The album next, but this for free."
Step Brothers 3 is due out on March 15th. Listen to Starlito's 2015 mixtape Introversion here.
Quotable Lyrics:
225 on the dash
What's the use if not driving it fast?
Don't do hookah but I smoke the GAS
Maneuvers to Uber with bags
Grind like I'm down to my last
For The Culture
