Students at Toronto`s Vaughan Road Academy, Drake's old high school, hope the 6ixside superstar will save it from shutting down.

When Drake reps a particular Toronto institution, do they owe him a favor, or vice-versa?

That's what students at Toronto's Vaughan Road Academy are trying to figure out. The West-End high school, which happens to be Drake's old stomping grounds, is under review for under-attendance by the Toronto District School Board. That means that there's a rather large possibility that the nearly 89-year-old secondary school could close down, leaving students in a scramble to pick up and find somewhere new to call home.

Earlier this year, Drake repped Vaughan Road Academy in a viral ad campaign for Air Jordan, wearing the school's crest on his sweater to go along with his Nike headband. He attended the school after leaving Forest Hill Collegiate Institute, a school in a far more affluent neighborhood of Toronto, a fact he has been taunted about for years. Ellen Page from the movie "Juno" also attended Vaughan Road Academy, and Toronto-OG Kardinal Offishall grew up nearby.

Concerned students at Vaughan Road Academy are now wondering, will Drake step in and try to save the school? How deep does his love really go?
