With exception to his “Ja Rule” release back in May, rising Brooklyn rapper Oncue has been relatively quiet since he dropped off his 6-track EP back in March called Perfectly, Tragically Flawed, but thankfully that drought end here today. Keeping his word from earlier, the Brooklyn rapper decides to return to the scene today & share a new video in support of the EP called “Rent Money.”
Taking inspiration from the classic, Pop-Up videos that Vh-1 used to do back in the 90’s, Oncue heads out to Los Angeles & roams the streets & fields in a fur coat while describing his thoughts & actions as they played out. From little kids thinking he’s Macklemore to flossin’ in somebody's else’s Ferrari, Oncue delivers a fun & nostalgic clip that’s directed by Hunter Lyon. As dope as this is, Im surprised more artists don’t take on this pop-up video concept. This a good look for Oncue.
