Wale is never one to shy away from experimenting with his music. Throughout his career, he has dabbled in many different kinds of sounds and genres while fusing it with hip hop. His fifth studio album and latest effort SHiNE has many different kinds of sounds fused into it that helped it become another album to add to his discography. A stand-out track on the album was the Major Lazer-produced "My Love" that also featured fellow Nigerian artist, WizKid as well as British-pop singer, Dua Lipa. The track infused Major Lazer's unique production with afrobeat. Today, the fun song gets an equally exciting music video that'll make you wish that summer vacation never ends.
The video for my love has WizKid, Wale and Dua Lipa living it up on the beach with beautiful women and sun surrounding them. The video was directed by Armen Christopher Ramon Soudjian a.k.a ACRS, who actually teased that he was working on the video on Twitter back in June. This is actually the second video off of Wale's album that Soudjian directed, the first being "Running Back" featuring Lil Wayne. It's a strong visual representation of the song. As Wale turns up on the beach with WizKid and Dua Lipa, it'll make you feel like you're turning up right next to them for the duration of the video.
The video for "My Love" makes it the sixth song on the album to get visual treatment. Despite Wale's lack of presence on social media, his music speaks for itself. His album SHiNE dropped back in April and with the way he's been moving, he hasn't had a moment to quite kick back just yet. Hopefully, we receive more visual treatments for the album and even more, hopefully there's more music in the vault that he's waiting to unleash.
