Chris Rivers dropped off his debut album DeLorean earlier this month.
The son of the late Big Pun, Rivers' project has served as a shining moment for the Bronx-bred emcee as he officially steps from out of the shadow of his legendary father.
“It’s the first project I’m actually proud of,” he said of the debut. “For years I’ve felt unsure and voiceless either doing what I felt was expected of me or told and never really making the music and speaking the words that felt true to myself. This was due to uncertainties and what I felt was the lack of skill and experience to properly convey who I was musically."
"I want to stress how important it is to know yourself," he continued. "To take the time to embrace who you are with every nuance, strength and weakness, perfection and flaw and to truly understand who you are. This is a life time journey but I feel like this project is the start of me coming into my own and ultimately achieving peace and happiness within my soul. I’m so happy to give ya this.”
Now on the heels of DeLorean's arrival, Chris has dropped off its first visuals in the form of the music video for "DASAFAC," the second single to spawn from the 21-track long body of work.
