As Mobsquad Nard prepares to release his upcoming project, Nardo Da’Vinci, it's only right that he drops the visual for his track, "Itz Dat." The visual -- which features Boosie Badazz -- catches the Jacksonville rapper & Boosie in his hood.
"Itz Dat" is the first single off of Nardo Da’Vinci and is definitely a testament to the dope shit Nard is about to drop. And if this doesn't convince you, check out Nard's project, #NardoDaVinciOTW. That's enough proof. We also caught up with Nard & he also had a few convincing words.
On connecting with Boosie:
"You know everybody loves Boosie down here. Boosie has family down here and me and him ended up linking up on some business. He did the song for me and he fuck with it. He’s on board with the movement too. And as you can see in the video, he says, 'Itz Dat.'"
On the "Itz Dat" movement:
“‘Itz Dat,’ that's something that we say here down south; that's something we’re saying all through the city. Actually they say it out in Chicago too. It’s starting to take over in the streets. It’s all over, especially down here in Jacksonville. They’re stressing it all over, “Itz Dat.” It’s just a mission statement. “Itz Dat” thats like confirmation. When they say “Itz Dat” down here, it's either to let you know - an exclamation to let you know something good or to let you know somebody dispositioning something.”
On repping for Jacksonville:
It feels good, because we ain’t got a super big name yet. It just feels good to get Jacksonville in a position to have people like, 'Oh shit, I wanna go to Jacksonville.'"
