Rick Ross comes through with fire and brimstone in his latest video for the notorious "Idols Become Rivals." The cinematic Ryan Snyder directed clip is Rozay personified; grandiose, aggressive, powerful. Yet there is a sense of isolation, as we must remember, it's lonely at the top. In case you're unaware, the titular idol turned rival is one Birdman, the Cash Money mogul, and Ross holds nothing back in this one. It's not so much a diss track as it is an open letter, and the visuals convey the visible sense of melancholy that so often accompanies betrayal.
One more thing. Can all producers please get paid?
