Jet Life affiliate Young Roddy recently paid a trip to NYC to promote his debut album The Kenner Loop. Before coming coming by the HNHH studio to record a Bill Russell-inspired freestyle, the New Orleans rapper rode through the streets of Manhattan with Rob Markman, talking about his origins as a rapper and how New Orleans hip hop -- No Limit, Hot Boys, Cash Money, & more -- have influenced him and paved the way.
Roddy says he was initially more interested in basketball than rapping. He tells Markman of the first time he hit the studio, the first time he met Curren$y, and how he joined Jet Life.
