Waka Flocka Flame stopped by the HNHH office to talk about his upcoming album, "Flockaveli 2," putting 808 Mafia on, and why reading is gangsta.
When Waka Flocka first came into the game, his unique style was a divisive subject, but as Atlanta rap has grown following the release of Flockaveli, it's clear that the Brick Squad Monopoly was a truly influential figure. With that being said, Flocka continues to move forward, revealing to HNHH in a new interview that his ad-lib heavy approach was a technique used to break through and give him a head start on developing a more intricate rapping ability.
Getting ready to drop Flockaveli 2 in June, Flocka ensured us that the album will be yet another groundbreaking work, and that it won't be focused on radio play. Later on, he talks about his plan to break producers as well as artists, citing Southside and the 808 Mafia crew as beatmakers that he put on.
He also talked about his apathy toward big name features, revealing that while he could easily land some A-listers on his album, he'd rather make his mark, and in fact, he doesn't believe he deserves a Kanye feature at this point. Also, listening to pop music and reading is officially "gangsta".
