On The Come Up: Tunji Ige Talks "Day 2 Day,"The Love Project" & More

Tunji Ige shared his debut mixtape with the world last month, The Love Project, which made it onto our list of Slept-On Mixtapes From 2014. In order to wake you, we've caught up with Tunji Ige for the latest edition of On The Come Up.

The soft-spoke Tunji shares his come-up story with us, from beginning to rap and produce at the same time, and transitioning from Fruity Loops to Logic. He also describes the transition of his sound to what we hear currently, as well as being in college and trying to make music at the same time. "Music is taking over," he said of his college life, but he still wants to pursue college next year and see where the music takes him.

Tunji touches on how "Day 2 Day" came together, which was a song that put him on the map, as well as his first release The Love Project. As for the future, Tunji says his "whole next project is about half-way done. And that sounds crazier than The Love Project." Stay tuned
